Tonight was a much better night than last night. Shane was not as fussy and I kept him awake a little longer than usual to be sure he won’t be waking as I was about to go sleep like last night.
We learn from our experiences, right? Motherhood is not easy and I can’t stress that enough. Social media is good at hiding all the real life experiences. That being said, I love every bit of motherhood. The good, the bad, the craziness, and all memorable moments. It’s all part of the journey and even though some nights can be rough (like last night, for example), there are still the amazing nights too.
Shane fell asleep before 9pm. Avery ate a good meal right before bed. And I’m lying in bed blogging from my phone and it’s not even 10pm yet. How is that even possible?!
My house isn’t at its cleanest and I bought Panda Express for dinner. This is my real life, my real world. But my kids are bathed, clean, fed, and asleep.
To all the moms out there, hang in there. No one is perfect, but you’re doing one hell of a job. Keep at it. Don’t let people pull you down. And give yourself some credit because let’s face it, being a mom is hard and no one really prepares you for it. You do the best you can and that’s all we can ask for. Keep rocking on. You’ll be okay. I’ll be okay. We’re gonna make it through together and be okay.
With love as always,
